NameCoach

What is NameCoach?

NameCoach is an online tool which allows users to record the pronunciation of their names. By providing a simple and effective way to ensure accurate name pronunciations, it promotes inclusion, belonging, and rapport in the classroom.

Canvas users can access NameCoach in their fall 2022 courses and user accounts.

• Find the Caltech instructor guide for NameCoach here.
• If you would like to provide instructions for your students, please feel free to share the Caltech NameCoach Student Guide in your course.
• To promote student engagement, create a NameCoach recording assignment (which can be ungraded).  For instructions, see Step 4 in the NameCoach guide.
